چکیده
The gulf between user and system can be minimized by adapting the system to the user‘s natural characteristics. Socalled anthropomorphic interfaces represent one strategy of such an adaption as they are assumed to provide a more human-like and therefore more natural interaction. However, regarding the evaluation of anthropomorphic interfaces, the well-known and empirically tested instruments are limited to educational contexts. Hence, this paper describes the first steps towards the development of an evaluation instrument applicable to a wide range of such interfaces.

A review of agent-based modeling (ABM) concepts and some of its main applications in management science
We live in a very complex world where we face complex phenomena such as social norms and new technologies. To deal with such phenomena, social scientists often use reductionism approach where they reduce them to some lower-lever variables and model the relationships among them through a scheme of equations. This approach that is called equation based modeling (EBM) has some basic weaknesses in ...
متن کاملThe Development and Validation of Language Learner Beliefs Scale in the Iranian EFL Context
Unlike teacher beliefs, there has been a dearth of study regarding EFL learner beliefs. The reason can be that Horwitz (1987) and the existing literature has predominantly been in an ESL context. The present study reports the development and validation of a scale to measure the learner beliefs about language learning in Iranian EFL contexts. Using a combination of verbal creativity method, inte...
متن کاملThe Influence of Conversational Agents on Socially Desirable Responding
Conversational agents (CAs) are becoming an increasingly common component in many information systems. The ubiquity of CAs in cell phones, entertainment systems, and messaging applications has led to a growing need to understand how design choices made when developing CAs influence user interactions. In this study, we explore the use case of CAs that gather potentially sensitive information fro...
متن کاملSystems Engineering and Conversational Agents
This chapter describes Conversational Agents (CAs) in the context of Systems Engineering. A CA is a computer program which interacts with a user through natural language dialogue and provides some form of service. CA technology has two points of interest to systems engineers: the use of systems engineering techniques in CA research and the application of CAs in projects development. CAs offer t...
